CTET 2024 Notification
CBSE released the CTET notification 2024 for January on November 03, 2023 and for July on March 07, 2024 on its official website. You can download the information bulletin from the website – ctet.nic.in. You will find application dates, exam date, instructions on how to apply, eligibility criteria, application fees, downloading of confirmation page, exam schedule, nature and standard of questions, etc.

How to Apply Online
Steps for CTET Apply Online 2024
The steps to apply online for CTET July 2024 are given below:
- Go to the official website – ctet.nic.in.
- Click the ‘Apply for CTET July 2024’ button.
- Select ‘New Registration’.
- Check the details, then click on Acknowledgment and continue.
- Fill out the needed information to register.
- Complete the application form
- Upload documents such as photos and signatures.
- The CTET application fee must be paid.
- Submit the confirmation page and save it.
CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for CTET 2024, you must have checked the eligibility criteria including age limit, educational qualification, etc. Let’s check the eligibility in brief below:
- If you are enrolled in a Teaching Training Course (TTC) are treated as “Pursuing”, then you are eligible to appear for the exam.
- You must hold a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% or an equivalent, as well as a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
- You must also meet the eligibility conditions established by the competent agency or recruitment organization, such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, in order to be considered for the position.
CTET Nationality

- Citizen of India
- Candidates who belong to Nepal
- A subject from Bhutan.
- A Tibetan who traveled to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling there permanently.
- Candidates of Indian origin who have migrated from certain countries such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Burma.
CTET 2024 Age Limit
The minimum age to apply for the exam is 18, in accordance with the CTET age limitation. However, there is no upper age limit for taking the exam. According to government regulations, candidates from reserved categories will be eligible for an age relaxation.

CTET 2024 Certificate Validity
To get CTET certificate, you need to score minimum qualifying marks. If you clear the cutoff, you can download your CTET certificate from Digilocker. Earlier, the CTET certificate was valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issue. On June 03, 2021, the Ministry of Education approved the validity of the CTET Certificate from 7 years to a lifetime with effect from 2011. The Ministry has asked the respective State/UT to revalidate/issue the certificates to those whose period of 7 years of certificate validity has expired or elapsed.
How to download CTET 2024 Admit Card
CTET admit card is the hall ticket which is mandatory that you need to bring to the exam center. You can download the admit card by the following steps:
- Go to the official website – ctet.nic.in.
- Select the “CTET July 2024 admit card” link.
- Enter the application number, birth date, and security pin.
- Click the “Submit” button.
- Download the CTET July 2024 admit card.
CTET 2024 Selection Process
If you wish to become a teacher in a government school, then you have to clear written exam and score minimum qualifying marks to get the CTET certificate. You need to download the CTET certificate by entering login credentials to Dogilocker.
- You must note that if you belong to any reserved category such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Specially-Abled Groups, then you will be given reservation in minimum qualifying marks.
- In Government Schools, Teachers are hired for positions in Classes I-VIII through the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), which is held every year by the CBSE.
- The CTET written exam is divided into two parts- Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- If you wish to become Teacher for Classes 1-V, then you will have to appear for CTET Paper 1 only.
- If you wish to become a Teacher for Classes VI-VIII, then you will have to appear for CTET Paper 2 only.
- If you aspire to teach Classes I-VIII, then you need to attempt and clear CTET both papers.
