The Bihar Public Service Commission has released the BPSC 70th Notification 2024 on the official website along with the updated BPSC syllabus and exam pattern. BPSC Syllabus 2024: New changes
The BPSC Syllabus has experienced some changes as per the latest BPSC notification for Prelims and Mains exams, which are explained below.
- As per the new changes in the BPSC notification, the combined BPSC exam will now consist of four answers with 1/3rd negative marking.
- The BPSC Prelims exam consists of objective type questions of 150 marks for the General Studies paper.
- General Hindi (qualifying), General Studies Paper 1, General Studies Paper 2, Essay and optional subjects are the five papers that will be covered in the BPSC Mains exam.
- General Hindi as well as optional subjects are qualifying in nature with 100 marks. There will be multiple choice questions in optional subjects.
BPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
As we all know that BPSC CCE Exam and BPSC CDPO Exam last year are combined as per BPSC latest notification.
- The BPSC CCE Prelims exam will consist of multiple choice questions with objective type questions.
- This exam will have 150 questions for 150 marks. In short, each question carries 1 mark.
- Every correct answer gets one mark.
- For each wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
- The exam will be of 2 hours.

- The major exam is the second stage of the BPSC selection process.
- General Hindi (qualifying), General Studies Paper 1, General Studies Paper 2, Essay and optional subjects are the five papers that comprise the BPSC Mains Exam Pattern.
- The highest score for the BPSC Mains exam is 1100, which includes qualifying papers as per the BPSC exam pattern.

BPSC Mains Syllabus 2024
The BPSC Mains will be open to candidates who qualify the preliminary exam. The number of candidates selected for Mains will be ten times the total number of posts.

BPSC Interview
Those who pass the BPSC Main exam will be invited in the “interview” round. A board appointed by the commission interviews each candidate. The main topics covered by the interviewer are listed below.
- A board that has a record of the applicant’s career and interests from their application form will interview that person.
- The goal of the interview is to have a board of competent and impartial supervisors to assess the candidate’s fitness for a career in state services.
- Candidates for the personality interview should be aware of the current events inside and outside their state as well as their academic studies.
